Each one is different, Each one is special, Each one is beautiful. ~Unknown Author Catherine Ann Browning Kile departed this earth unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at her home in Aurora, Colorado at the age of 77. Cathy was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 28, 1939, firstborn to Iva Mae Wade Browning and Joseph Boyd Browning. She grew up with her younger sister in Dallas, Texas where she was active in Rainbow Girls, track, drill team, and her church youth group. Cathy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1957. She attended North Texas State University and was an active member and Pledge Trainer of the Chi Omega sorority. In 1961, Cathy earned her Bachelor of Science in Education. In 1978 and while teaching full-time in San Antonio, Cathy received her Master of Education degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Cathy was an exceptional elementary and middle school teacher for 33 years in the Texas public school system in Fort Worth and San Antonio. Ms. Kile received many distinguished awards, including Teacher of the Year on four occasions. After she retired from teaching, Cathy continued to be productive and stay active working for Vogt Auction in San Antonio until 2009. She then moved to Colorado to be close to her daughter and family. Cathy touched many lives, children and adults alike. She was best known for her encouraging, supportive, kind, and selfless way. Cathy was most proud to be a mother and grandmother. In addition to many past students, colleagues, and old and new friends, Cathy is survived by her three children and their families; Roscoe Kile of Aurora, Colorado; Boyd Kile and wife Mimi of Georgetown, Texas; and Kristin Welch and husband Mike of Aurora, Colorado; as well as her four beloved grandchildren; Dalton Kile, Mason Welch, Braden Welch, and Kaylen Welch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Iva Mae and Joseph Browning and her younger sister, Elizabeth Jaye Browning. There will be a private celebration of her life in February in Aurora, Colorado.
