Catherine Myers

Catherine (Kay) Myers, 96, of Colorado Springs, passed away February 2, 2023 with family by her side.

She was born to the late Levi and Mary Caughman. Graduated Mansfield Senior High School and Barnes Business school. She married the late R. Douglas Myers, in September 1948. They lived in Columbus, Ohio while Doug completed his medical degrees.  They then moved to Crestline Ohio, for 16 years before relocating to Littleton, Colorado.

Kay is survived by two children: Stephanie (Jeff) Kuenn of Alma; Mark Myers (Lee Ann) of Salem.

She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Kay was preceded by her loving husband in 2006.

Kay’s pride and joy was her family.  Always checking in, encouraging, giving sage advice, love and hugs with every visit. Nothing gave her greater joy than a new picture, new accomplishment or phone call from her grandchildren.   Kay also cared deeply for her fellow residents of the retirement community, sharing treats, making sure each knew they were loved and spending Sundays with fellow fans cheering on the Broncos.

Services will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.  The family requests that people make donations to Holy Cross Church in lieu of sending flowers.
