Catherine Van Heukelem

Catherine Lynn Van Heukelem, 71, died July 20, 2022 peacefully at her home in Englewood, Colorado.

Cathy was born on April 10, 1951 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Donald and Dorothy Robinson. She earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Medical Technology at Colorado State University and began her career at the laboratory at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She married Thomas Van Heukelem on June 26, 1976. They raised three children. Cathy was heavily involved in her children's lives, her church community, Special Olympics Colorado, and her quilting circle.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Tom; children Michelle and Justin Lappegaard, Jeffry Van Heukelem, and Bethany and Joe Noble; grandchildren, Hannah Lappegaard, Abigail Lappegaard, Molly Lappegaard, Catherine Noble, and Russell Noble; and siblings, Patricia Hays, Doug and Cathy Robinson, Nancy and Tim Rider.

We give all thanks to God for a life well lived in service to Him, knowing that we shall meet together again in heaven before His throne to praise Him forever.
