Cecilia "Chila" Ayon

It is with great sadness that the family of Cecilia Ayon announce her passing on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. She was born May 8, 1957 in Topinish, Washington to Heraclio and Prajedez Ayon. She gave birth to her only daughter, Teresa Barajas in December of 1977.

Cecilia, also known as Chila, was a kind hearted and thoughtful mother, grandmother,aunt and friend. Known for her homemade tortillas and her love of dancing.  She loved being outdoors in her garden.  She loved nature, especially being surrounded by birds, flowers and waterfalls.  Every spring she would release ladybugs in her yard and loved sharing this experience with her granddaughter Veronique.

She was always there for her family or friends by providing a warm meal, kind words or funny stories.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Barajas; son-in-law Manuel Barajas, granddaughter Veronique Andrade,grandson Isaiah Barajas, granddaughter Marissa Barajas, brother Raymond Ayon, sister-in-law Paula Ayon, sister Elvira Macias and many loving nieces and nephews.

A church service will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation Church of Denver of Colorado, 3601 Humboldt St, Denver, CO 80205 followed by a celebration of Cecilia’s life.
