Celeste Margaret Oberle

Celeste Oberle, age 99, passed away on May 6, 2018 in Centennial, Colorado. Born on August 26, 1918 in Waterloo Iowa, the daughter of Margaret Koster and Thomas Meisch, she grew up in Iowa and graduated from St. Mary's school in 1936, where she met her husband, Carl Oberle. Carl and Celeste were married in 1940 and had seven children. They lived in Iowa until 1967, when they relocated to Colorado. Celeste was a very devout Catholic and was a member of the Ladies Auxilary of the Knights of Columbus, Rosary Makers and the Catholic Daughters. Celeste is survived by her children: Karla Ness (Doug), Tom Oberle (Linda), John Oberle (Linda), Mary Whitley (John), Mark Oberle (Louise), Chris Oberle (Nancy), and Ann Sauer (Patrick); her grandchildren: Susan Collins (Tom), Deborah Palmer (Michael), Peter Oberle, Meagan Thumel (Bob), Nathan Oberle, Jennifer Winchester (Mike), David Whitley (Bridgette), Katherine Klarenbach (Rob), Ann Flanagan (Jimmy), Sara Whitley, Cady Oberle, Holly Oberle, Kris Oberle, Nicole Sauer, Michelle Sauer, Bryan Sauer, CJ Sauer; her great-grandchildren: Margaret Collins, Nolan Collins, Ashley Palmer, Colin Palmer, Beau Thumel, Christian Oberle, Jacob Winchester, Joshua Whitley, Caleb Whitley, Michaela Whitley, Noah Whitley, Kyle Klarenbach, Gabe Klarenbach, Ryan Klarenbach, Conor Flanagan; and her siblings: Delores Moothart and Delphine Marlow. Celeste was preceded in death by her huband, Carl Oberle and her siblings: Norbert Meisch, Thomasine Furnia and Rita Penne. A public visitation will be held from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm with rosary to begin at 7:00 pm on Monday 5/14/2018 at Horan and McConaty 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Denver, CO 80211. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday 5/15/2018, 10:00 am at Risen Christ Catholic Church, 3060 S Monaco Pkwy, Denver, CO 80222. A reception gathering for family and friends will be held at Risen Christ Catholic Church immediately following mass. Burial will take place on Tuesday 5/15/2018, 1:15 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery 4400 W. Kenyon Ave. Denver, CO 80236.
