Charles (Chip) Box, loving husband and father, passed away on November 18, 2019 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Chip grew up in Pueblo, Colorado, where he graduated as a valedictorian from Centennial High School in 1981 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. From there he landed his dream job at Martin Marietta and spent his entire career with the company as it eventually became Lockheed Martin Corporation. During his career at Lockheed, he earned a ""New Technology Award"" in 1989, a ""Technical Innovation Award"" in 2018, and earned a Patent for a Detachable High-Pressure Flow Path Coupler in 2006.
Chip had a passion for woodworking and created a collection of beautiful wooden bowls. He loved spending time with friends and family, eating great food, working on old cars, creating stunning stained-glass windows, watching football, and generally lighting up the room wherever he went.
Chip is survived by his wife Deb and their two sons Chase and Jensen, as well as his mother Beth, brother Rick and sister Dawn. He has been preceded in death by his father Dick, mother and father in law Peg and Bob Reed, and grandparents Charlie and Nettie Box and Clyde and Josephine Dawn.
We will celebrate Chip's life on December 7, 2019 1:00 pm-5:00 pm with an open house at Chip and Deb's house 8389 W Fairview Avenue, Littleton Colorado 80128.
This will be a casual, healing time for all of us to gather, and of course there will be food. Please join us.
The family kindly requests that if anyone would like to send condolences please contribute to the Foothills Animal Shelter, https://foothillsanimalshelter.org.
