Charles ""Jerry"" Carroll

Carroll, Charles ""Jerry"" Jerry passed away December 12, 2012, at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, who he continued to love dearly throughout his life. He is survived by his five children, Michael (Judy) Carroll, Susan (Paul) Aldretti, Janet Kidder, James (Cheryl) Carroll and Sheila (Joe) Erhart. He was also the very proud Grandfather to eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Jerry's lead a full life filled with achievements. He fondly remembered his days as a labor leader for the State, County and Municipal Employees where he strove daily to achieve fair and equitable treatment, recognition, and compensation for the individuals he represented. He later moved to the Department of the Air Force and the United States Small Business Administration as a Labor Relations Specialist. While representing management, he never forgot his roots and continued to strive to achieve a fair and respectful relationship between management and staff. Upon his retirement, Jerry was the Deputy Regional Administrator for the Small Business Administration. Jerry loved athletics and especially the game of golf. Following his retirement he played Monday through Friday while leaving the course open for the ""working people"" on weekends and holidays. Most notable was Jerry's love of his family. He and his wife, Pat, had a wonderful life together where they deeply cared for one another and truly enjoyed their time together. Together they had 5 children who were always loved regardless of what mischief they got into. Jerry taught his children that living must consist of absolute honesty and integrity, hard work, joy and the love and support of family. These traits he exhibited every day through his every action and interaction. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were shining stars in his sky. He was there at their athletic events, school plays, concerts, graduations and in their daily lives offering his encouragement, wisdom, support and love. Jerry's passing will leave a huge void here on earth, but will allow Pat and he to once again watch over their family together. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 10:00AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Boulevard, Denver.
