Major Charles Hugh Hawley, U.S. Air Force (retired), age 80, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away June 22, 2016. He was born August 29, 1935 in Annabella, Utah to Hugh J. and Rozella Thurston Hawley. He taught at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio for 2 years, then at Dixie College in St. George, Utah for about 12 years. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Geology and his Master's Degree in General Education. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Carolyn Stewart Hawley; three daughters, Charlyn Jensen and her husband Robert (Toad), Cynthia Laff and her husband Randy Sellinghausen, and Camille Richards and her husband Brent; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Stephen J Hawley. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Ace Hawley. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 701 Oakwood Drive, Castle Rock, CO 80104. A viewing will be held at the Church from 9:00-9:45 AM. Burial will be at 1:30 PM, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Area 'B', 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, Colorado.
