Charles W. Hoefer

Charles, 83 of Lakewood, passed on January 8 in the company of his family. He was born on April 9, 1932 in Kress, Texas. He and his family lived in Texas, Oklahoma and California before moving to Colorado in 1972. Charles spent many years as an Office Manager in the Oil & Gas industry until retiring in 1988. Charles is survived by his loving wife Doris; and their two sons Rex and his wife Faith, and Matthew; his sister Doris George; and many other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Effie Hoefer and three brothers Jack, Bobby Joe and Stanley. Charles was an avid golfer, played guitar in a band called ""Wisdom Gone Wild,"" and was a master class wood carver in the Colorado Wood Carvers Club. Charles was a very kind man who always had time for his family and friends. A memorial service with reception to follow will be held in his honor on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11 AM at Lochwood Christian Church, 1354 South Union Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80228. Following the services at Lochwood Christian Church, Charles will be laid to rest at Golden Cemetery, Golden, CO at 2:00 PM. Please share memories with the family below.
