Charles ""Chuck"" E. Jansen, Sr.

Charles ""Chuck"" E. Jansen, Sr., Age 79, passed away on December 10, 2019 surrounded by his family at his home in Lakewood, Colorado due to complications from COPD. Chuck was born September 7, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio. He lived in Ohio and Nevada before finally settling in Colorado with his family. Chuck worked in the automotive industry as a general manager, lease manager, and eventually ran his own business as an auto broker until he retired in 2010, though he never stopped helping his customers find a ""great deal"" on an automobile. Chuck was an avid billiards player and enjoyed volunteering at the Lakewood Senior Center where he served lunches, popcorn, and plenty of laughs.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette of fifty-six years; his five children, Kimberly (Cliff) Protze, Pamela (Chris) Juhnke, Charles (Angela) Jansen Jr., Sandra (Frank) Cooper, and Deborah (Kyle) Zimbelman; his brother, Raymond Jansen and sister, Alice Opartny; and his five grandchildren, Thomas Protze, Zachary and Emily Cooper, and Jacob and Andrew Zimbelman.

A viewing will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80^th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado, 80003, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2019.

A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel at Spirit of Christ, 7400 West 80^th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado, 80003, at 11:00 AM with a reception to immediately follow on Friday, December 20, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chuck’s honor to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Denver Dumb Friends League, or Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
