Charles Joseph Monahan III

Charles J. Monahan III, age 77, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on February 4, 1946, died in his home in Lakewood, Colorado on August 5, 2023.  He graduated with a Master of Arts Linguistics from the University of Utah in 1974.  Retired as National Sales Manager for The Gates Corporation in 2006.

Charles was a collector of all things Boston Celtics and Larry Bird.  He loved all things hockey, loved to travel, tried to play golf and most of all loved his family and friends with all his heart.

He is survived by his five children, Catherine, Erin, Padraig, Theresa, Timothy.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Devin, Brandon, Keenan, Autumn, Rachel, Gracie and Haylee as well as his siblings Joyce and Michael.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at Horan & McConaty 3101 S Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood CO 80227 on Saturday August 12^th, 2023 at 1:00P.M.  Burial and Military Services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Monday August 14^th, 2023 – promptly at 0930 (please meet in the staging area C no later than 0915). 

Celebration of life will immediately follow the Saturday August 12th service, all are invited by the family to join at Old Chicago 145 Union Blvd, Lakewood CO 80226, on the rooftop patio.
