He was born in Pueblo, CO, on October 26, 1935. Chuck graduated from North High School in Denver, CO in 1953. He then attended the University of Denver until 1955 when he enlisted in the United States Army. He served in the Army until 1957. After leaving the Army he married his wife, Patricia "Pat" J. During this time he was very proud to graduate from the Ken Hoffman Flight School that certified the first Official Pilots for the Denver Police Department Helicopter Unit. This then led him to being able to fly one of the first Denver Police Helicopters. Although he was busy protecting the community, Chuck always enjoyed being involved in The Free Masons and The Shriners Organizations.
Chuck always had the desire to travel, especially on cruise ships, which Pat and he did frequently. His favorite destinations were Mexico and the Panama Canal.
