Charles William Parker was born at Mercy Hospital on April 7, 1938, the middle child to Melvin and Minnie Parker. He grew up primarily in west Denver with his two sisters Catherine and Barbara. He attended West High School were he excelled at Basketball. Dad met the love of his life while still at West High, the girl who turned his head and lived across the street from him, Barbara Leonard, our beloved mom. They were married on April 3, 1958 and had three children, Debbie, Karla and Chuck, Jr. During his lifetime Chuck worked at Maddox Ice Company, Rainbow Bread Company and Martin Marietta were he retired after 35 years of service. He loved his God and his family above of all else. He so loved and was so proud of his four grandchildren and the extraordinary men and women they had become and his six great-grandchildren who brought him more joy than anyone could imagine and they loved ""papa Chuck."" Dad enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing'.he enjoyed the occasional lunch with boys from ""Martin,"" relaxing on his patio and ""puttering"" in his yard. Charles Parker was a gentle, kind, loving and fun-loving man who will be missed by many. The world was a brighter place when Charlie was alive. Charles W. Parker, Sr. 71, of Lakewood.
