Charles Milton 'Chuck' Robertson

Chuck passed on to the Lord on October 23rd, 2010 at age 72, after a 17 year battle with prostate cancer. Chuck graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1956 and attended Colorado State University. He worked his way through the ranks of the Adams County Sheriff's Department, retiring in 1985 after 25 years of service. He then formed CMR, Inc. and Xylex Corporation, a partnership with Stratus Computers Inc., to develop fault-tolerant software for mission critical computer systems. After retiring a second time in 1995, Chuck treasured his travel with Edna to visit family in California, British Columbia, Hawaii, Alaska and many summers boating on Lake Powell. Chuck was always happiest when surrounded by his loving family. Born to Ronald C. and Mildred D. Robertson in May of 1938, in Deadwood, South Dakota. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Edna; son Jeffrey ""Jeff"" (Deann); daughter Janeen Robertson; granddaughters Jennifer ""Jenni"" Bird, Summer Pittsley, Jill Liley, and Brooke Hull; and great grandsons Trevor, Tristan, Gavin Liley, and Gadge Pittsley. Chuck is also survived by his much loved sister Gayle (Richard) Thornton; first wife Donna (Richard) Wakefield, who is the mother of Jeff and Janeen; brother-in-law George (Diane) Sandlin Jr.; as well as a host of family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are being suggested to in Chuck's name to Exempla Lutheran Hospice, 8300 West 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033.
