Charles F. ""Chuck"" Shell

November 7, 1946 — March 18, 2014

Chuck passed away with his family by his side. Chuck is survived by Wife Edie, Son Chris, Sisters Natalie Shell Reichman and Deborah Shell Bentley, Brothers Steve Shell and Phil Shell, Eileen Sethre, Mother-in-law; Ann Sethre, Sister-in-law. A Viet Nam Veteran, avid golfer, snowmobiler and model railroader. 1964 Graduate of Regis High School and a BS in business and MBA from the University of Denver. In 1974 he married Edie Sethre, and in 1981, his son Christopher was Born. Chuck started his career at Ernst and Ernst then worked for Colorado Potato Growers, Sunrich Inc and the Department of Defense Finance and Accounting Center and finally Comfort Care Home Health Care. He loved the game of Golf. It was a great passion of his. He worked at perfecting his game most of his life. And he would often say ""The Swing is a fleeting thing!"". He was also an accomplished fearless snowmobiler and an equally talented and artistic railroad modeler. Chuck was a perfectionist at everything that he did. And if you were to examine a photo of his model railroad, you would be hard pressed to tell if it was a model or a real location. All those who were lucky enough to share in his hobbies, were blessed by his generosity, giving freely of his knowledge and his camaraderie. As challenged as you may have been at any of these activities, he never judged and always offered an encouraging comment. For those that knew him, the world is a better place from his presence, but a little diminished now by his absence. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:30am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (One block west of Holly Street) in Centennial.
