Charles “Buck” Reynolds, 92, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away surrounded by his 6 children and multiple family members on May 17, 2024, in Centennial, Colorado. He was born on October 3, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland to Edwin and Margaret Reynolds. He was one of 8 children. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Reynolds and granddaughter Madison Mercedes Reynolds. He is survived by his six children and their families; Patricia and her husband Calvin Roberts, Chuck and his wife Tami Reynolds, Barbara and her husband Ed Kreimier, Michael and his wife Jeanette Reynolds, Diane and her husband Rich Flagg, and Robert and Treena Reynolds, his 12 grandchildren Kim, Kevin, Jason, Heather, Eddie, Carrie, Marcy, Cal, Kira, Chelsie, RC, and Colby and his 20 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.
Buck was always an adventurous and curious individual. He met the love of his life, Elizabeth “Betty” Rockel, while driving his father‘s ice cream truck and taking his mother to BINGO. Buck had many friends, but none closer than a group he called “The Hoods.” He had many adventures and got into some mischief with this group, but they considered themselves family. Once he met Betty, he decided he needed to do a few things to whisk her off her feet, so he worked hard, got his GED, worked several jobs and proved to her he could take good care of her. Once Betty met him it was all over for her as well.
Buck was an incredible man, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who found his greatest joy and purpose within the walls of his home. He once said, “The best things I ever did were to meet and marry Betty, have my 6 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and move to Colorado!” He moved to Colorado to continue his career at Martin Marietta, where he retire after 40 wonderful years.
Both Betty and Buck were partners in every sense, supporting each other along the way. Buck’s commitment to family extended beyond providing for them. He was actively involved in their lives, coaching, scoring baseball games, helping to pick out dresses and attire for dances, teaching of hard work, values and preservance, always mentoring through his actions.
In his 92 years on this earth, Buck made a great impact everywhere he went. His presence will be immensely missed by all who knew him. There will be a viewing at 4 pm and Rosary at 6 pm scheduled for Wednesday, May 29th at Horan and McConaty off of County Line and Holly. A funeral mass is planned for Thursday, May 30th at 10:00 am with a reception to follow at All Souls Catholic Church In Englewood, Colorado. And a burial ceremony is planned for Monday, June 3rd, at Littleton Cemetery in Littleton, Colorado.
Contributions or donations can be made to the All Souls Building Campaign Fund in Buck’s name honoring his commitment to his faith and to the church he had been a part of for the last 65+ years.https://www.wesharegiving.org/App/Form/6ed4f85e-2230-44a8-87a3-2b55640d86d8
