Charles Walter Walsh Jr, 87, of Centennial, Colorado passed away on Friday October 16, 2015. Charles was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on March 5, 1928. He graduated from Graham High School and continued on to receive a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech in geology. He played college football for Texas Tech and he served in the US Army. Charles was married to Billie J. Clark on October 20, 1956. Charles worked as a petroleum geologist for Cabot Corporation for his entire career. After retirement, he enjoyed volunteer work through St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Charles enjoyed his family, camping, fishing and watching his grandchildren's sports and activities. He was mechanically inclined and could keep any home or car in top shape. He enjoyed staying well informed, read several newspapers every day and was always interested in a spirited debate about anything. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and lived a devoted spiritual life. He attended daily mass and was a minister of Holy Communion and participated in perpetual adoration and many volunteer ministries. Charles is survived by his wife, Billie of the home. He is also survived by his four daughters: Theresa and husband David Marshello (Colleyville, Texas); Susanne and husband Rudy Dismuke (Houston, Texas); Meganne Walsh (Amarillo, Texas); Katie and husband Jim Reed (Centennial, Colorado). His surviving loving family includes his sisters: Mary Ann Cox (Abilene, Texas); Marcy and husband James MacRobert (Mangum, Oklahoma); Sandra Newell (Hobbs, New Mexico); and sister-in-law Sandra Walsh (Pampa, Texas). Charles is also survived by his brother in law Tommy Clark and wife Shirley (Pampa, Texas). Charles has eight grandchildren: Katherine Marshello, Kristin Marshello, Christopher Dismuke, Sarah Dismuke, Emily Reed, Hannah Reed, Charlie Reed, and Abigail Reed. He has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Walter Walsh Sr and Voltena Eugenia Estill Walsh; his brother, Patrick Walsh; brother in laws Milton Cox, Truett Newell, Rick Clark; and son in law Barry Everett. A Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2015 starting at 5:00pm with the recitation of the Rosary starting at 6:00pm; at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road Centennial, CO. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2015 starting at 12 Noon; at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec St. Englewood, CO; with a Graveside Service to follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery starting at 2:00pm, staging area ""A"".
