Charles (Chuck) Edgar Haas, 82, died at home on October 22, 2021 after a brief illness.
He was born in Denver, January 17, 1939 to Fred and Gladys Haas. He attended Cathedral High School where he met the love of his life Catherine Honish. They were married in 1959 in Denver and then relocated to Beaufort, South Carolina while in the U.S Marine Corp. After the birth of their first daughter, they moved back to Colorado where they lived for the next 60+ years of their marriage.
His career began with Public Service Company and then as a partner in Auto Rescue Service. In 1985, he took a leap of faith and started his own locksmithing business—Aspen Commercial Security. He became a master locksmith and was well known and respected in the industry holding various positions and memberships in ALOA, RMLA and BOMA. He retired in 2003 and continued locksmithing on the side through 2020.
He had many hobbies and interests including pheasant and turkey hunting, pie baking, fudge making, and going to estate sales. He had countless friends and loved his family immensely. His kindness and generosity were never-ending.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Haas, daughters Elizabeth Roberts and Teresa Haas, son John Haas, his grandchildren Brett Haas, Sabrina Haas and William Huff and sister Catherine Revie.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday October 29th at Horan & McConaty (11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora CO 80014.)
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Agape Hospice Foundation, 6041 S. Syracuse Way, Suite 220, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 or any charity of your choice.
