Charlotte Debrabandere

Charlotte Joanna Christiane Debrabandere, 27, of Denver, Colorado passed away July 13, 2020.

She was born on August 27, 1992 in Leuven, Belgium to Anne Marie Dubois and Lode Debrabandere.

Charlotte moved to the United States from Belgium in 1996 with her little sister and parents. This tight-knit family unit became central to Charlotte's life; family values always remained an integral and important part of who she was. She was the type of kid you would find exploring outside, climbing trees, and digging for insects in the backyard; a true tomboy. She channeled her endless energy into gymnastics, where she became the Level 6 NJ State Champion on the uneven bars. Later on, she became more involved in her middle school, Chapin School, as the President of the Student Body in 8th grade. Her leadership continued in high school at the Peddie School, as the Varsity Tennis team captain. She continued on to Vanderbilt University, where she graduated in 2014 with a BA in Communications and then pursued a Masters of Marketing at Johns Hopkins University-Carey Business School in 2015. After graduation, she worked in New York City and later in Denver as a Senior Account Manager for Informa.

Charlotte moved to Denver in 2018 with her most prized possession, her ‘pound puppy' Gypsy, to enjoy everything the great outdoors has to offer. Charlotte was an avid reader and painter, loved to hike, ski, surf, dance at concerts, and travel around the world. She loved maintaining her family relationships in Belgium, and couldn't go long without a good Belgian beer and waffle, Côte D'Or chocolate, or a fresh bag of French fries. She had a radiant, free-spirited personality and was confident, creative, giving, authentic, passionate, caring, a natural comedian, and full of life. She exuded positive energy and lit up every room she entered. She was an amazing friend to many, had the ability to bring a group of people together, accepted people for who they are, and made them feel loved and appreciated. She will be dearly missed by so many...

Charlotte is survived by her loving family: Mom, Anne Marie Dubois, of Pennington, New Jersey; Father, Lode Debrabandere, of Satellite Beach, Florida; sister, Margot Debrabandere, also of Pennington, N.J., and by her beloved mutt, Gypsy.

No services are scheduled at this time. A celebration of Charlotte's life will be held at a later date.
