Charlotte Rosina Bowden Hood, loving, caring wife, stepmother, homemaker, executive secretary & bookkeeper, passed away on May 17, 2014 at Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, Colorado. Born August 8, 1930 in Cuba City, Wisconsin, Charlotte was the only child of Lila May and Norris Bowden. After graduating from high school, Charlotte attended Baless Business School and worked locally in Madison, Wisconsin. After visiting Colorado and falling in love, Charlotte at the age of 23, moved to Boulder, Colorado working at the University of Colorado for one year. Then she worked at Rocky Flats/Dow Chemical/Rockwell Int. as an Executive Secretary for 29 years before she retired in 1983. She met Darrell Hood while square dancing, fell in love and were married in 1963. She is survived by her stepchildren Dr. David & Caron Hood, Sherrie (Hood) & Jamie Jones, Nancy (Hood) Griffin; 9 grandchildren, Samantha, Jessica, Jason, Daniel, Justin, Robyn, Winter, Kaity, Carrie; 9 great grandchildren, Ansley, Eleanor, Theodore, Genevieve, Oliver, Elizabeth, Michael, Kaitlyn and Nova Lee. A memorial service will be held on June 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty at 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Denver, Co 80014.
