Charlotte Weed

June 9, 1931 - June 18, 2018

Charlotte passed peacefully away on June 18, 2018 at Littleton Hospital. She was born in St. Joseph, Missouri to Gladys and Charles Stegall on June 9, 1931. Following her father's death in 1935, she and her two brothers, Tom and Ralph, were raised in Savannah, Missouri by their mother and grandmother.

After high school graduation, Charlotte attended Northwest Missouri State College where she met Jerry Weed. They were married on November 22, 1950. As Jerry's career in computer programming progressed, they moved often, taking their four children to new homes throughout the country. Jerry changed jobs in 1963 so the family could stay in Colorado Springs. In 1993, Charlotte and Jerry moved to Littleton to be closer to their daughter and her family. Jerry passed away in 2013.

Charlotte was known for her sense of humor and devotion to family. She loved to spend time with friends and family, including countless nieces and nephews. She was an active homemaker who loved to bake, sew, embroider, camp and travel.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Mike Weed, Dave (Sherry) Weed, Sharla (Bob) Hottman and Tammy (Mike) Ribaudo as well as ten grandchildren: Trevor Weed, Greg (Laurien) Hottman, AK (Lauren) Hottman, Wes (Heather) Hottman, Tony Weed, Andrea Weed, Bridget (Mike) Dixon, Derek (Carly) Weedgetz, Evan Ribaudo and Elise Ribaudo. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

A celebration of Charlotte's life will take place at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd., Centennial, CO on July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
