Charolett Virginia Mitchell Brown

Charolett Virginia Mitchell Brown, born September 23, 1947 in Clarendon, TX passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 of natural causes. Preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Mitchell Weeden and father Dalton Mitchell, she is survived by her husband, Charles Brown, daughter, Torie Hunt, son-in-law, Joseph Hunt, four grand children, sister, Peggy Strong, and many friends and family. Charolett graduated from Palo Duro High School, Amarillo, TX in 1966. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles, in 1967. The two lived in Whidbey Island, Washington and Virginia Beach, VA while Charles served in the U.S. Navy. In 1971, they returned to Amarillo. They remained there until 1988 when Charles was transferred to Denver, CO with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. While in Denver, Charolett began work for the U.S. Department of the Interior, retiring after twenty years. She considers her fairy tale marriage and extraordinary grandchildren to be her greatest accomplishments.
