Cherish Leann Batie

Loving sister, aunt and friend Cherish Leann Batie was born July 30, 1984 in Aurora, Colorado to the late Diane K. Robinson and Paul Batie. Cherish attended Jewell Elementary School. There she was on the Agate Program for gifted students. Cherish also attended Aurora Hill Middle School, and Gateway High School. At Gateway she joined the step team for two years, but her greatest gift was her intelligence. Cherish loved nothing more than to be with her nieces and nephews, laughing with friends and family, shopping, cooking and being with her boyfriend. This past year Cherish's health began to fail her. Cherish battled with lupus for 6 years. Many would say Cherish was the best fighter of us all. On April 16, 2006 God called her home. Our fighting Angel Cherish leaves in her memory her grandparents, Beverly & Tommie Robinson, Ruth & Batie Batie,; her brother and sisters, Mallan Robinson, Maia Robinson and Leslie Robinson; her niece and nephews, Mallan Robinson II, Alaysia Robinson, Jan-Brea Robinson, Amani Robinson; her uncle Thomas Robinson; her aunt Cleo Parker-Robinson and the angel her mother left Ronnetta Collier; her boyfriend Kelvin Dumas and a host of other relatives and friends.
