Cheryl passed away peacefully on December 13th, 2007 at age 63. She bravely battled Rheumatoid Arthritis for more than 30 years before succumbing to its wrath. Cheryl Sue was born on August 22nd, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to Maxine Eleanor and Roman Donegan Coleman. Cheryl, her parents, and her brothers, Jim and Bob, moved to Colorado in 1956. In high school, she was a dancer and a desirable beauty. She attended West High School and then became a member of Lincoln High School's first graduating class of 1962. Her working career began at Martin Marietta where she met the love of her life, Ken Armiger. On November 20th, 1965 Ken and Che ryl were married. Soon after, they moved to California for seven super years. In 1967, Cheryl gave birth to Dean, and in 1970, her daughter Jean came into the world. The Armiger clan moved back to Colorado in 1971 and settled in Littleton. Cheryl proudly became a homemaker and raised her two children, who affectionately called her 'Mother Goose'''Goose' for short. Cheryl is survived by many loved ones; her mother Maxine and her step-father OJ; her husband Ken; her brother Jim and sister-in-law Kazie; her brother Bob. All of whom she loved so very much. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren. Goose's love for her children, Dean and Jeanie, was remarkable, surpassed only by her adulation for her grandchildren, Aryanne and Kate, Caden and Casey. She also had a strong and loving bond with her daughter-in-law Sue. Goose loved Elvis and opera, reading and crossword puzzles. She was a fabulous cook. She was a wonderful artist before arthritis took over her hands. She found the most joy in her children, and later her grandchildren. She celebrated and appreciated the simplest things in life. Goose's unprecedented commitment to her family was rivaled only by her pledge to her special friendships. Though her disease was debilitating and her pain was immense, she did not complain. Goose was a selfless giver, a champion, and a pillar of strength. We can all find peace knowing that she is walking in Heaven without metal in her back, with straight fingers and toes, and is pain free at last.
