Chloe Morrell was the imaginative spark and compassionate soul in every relationship and every setting she graced. Her family and the many friends whom she cared for, and who loved her deeply, are devastated by her loss.
Born October 12, 2000, she died suddenly in an automobile accident in Denver on December 15, 2022. She is survived by her parents Mike and Nikki Morrell, her younger brothers Zack and Ben Morrell, her uncle Glenn Morrell, aunt Stephanie Rudolph (spouse Keith Rudolph), paternal grandparents Geneva Benoit and Tom Morrell and their spouses Peter Benoit and Sherry Morrell, plus cousins Tommy Morrell and Gia Sciortino. She was recently predeceased by her maternal grandparents Jill Cameron and Sam Grillo. She is also survived by her beloved cats, Soup and Dude.
Chloe graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2019 and attended Metro State University of Denver in 2020. At the time of her death, she was a server at The Cherry Cricket in Denver, appreciated by patrons and co-workers alike for her wit, work ethic, and easy connection to new faces, of all generations. She planned to enter University of Colorado Denver in September as a psychology major, pursuing her passion for counseling.
Chloe was a bright light and strength for so many. She was an artist, musician and a creative soul. She was also extremely intelligent and an avid reader. Her strong beliefs and stances were expressed through her conversations and interactions, always standing firm in what she believed. She was our unique beauty and her style was the ultimate “cool girl”. She was known and loved for her original tattoos and piercings. She loved to travel, recently visiting Chicago, Seattle, Martha's Vineyard and Puerto Vallarta. She had an extensive bucket list of places she longed to see. She also loved the outdoors, camping and hiking with family in childhood and with her closest friends in recent years, including outings in Oregon and Washington State. But it was Colorado and its parks and mountains that were in her soul.
Above all, it was her personal strength of character, her caring instincts, and her steadfast commitment to family and close friends, some dating back to her early child hood that filled so many hearts and leave a deep void now. There will be a Celebration of Life for Chloe Morrell on January 29 at 11 am, at the Denver Art Museum. In lieu of flowers, Chloe's family requests donations to the Cat Care Society https://catcaresociety.org/ways-to-give/ , this cat shelter was near and dear to her heart.
