Chrislyn W. Gilman died of cancer Thursday, Nov. 30, at her home in Littleton, surrounded by her children, family and close friends. She was 69. Chris will be remembered for her warm and generous spirit, her strong Christian faith, and her life-long contributions as a pediatric nurse and as a choral singer and church pianist and organist. To her children, she was the mom who was always there for them, whether it was sewing prom dresses or serving up pans of pizza and tasty trays of lasagna. Born March 25, 1937 on a farm near Holland, Mich., she attended Calvin College and received an R.N. degree from the Blodgett Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, in Grand Rapids, Mich., in 1958. She was married to Donald W. Gilman, and they had five children. Following a divorce, Chris moved to Denver in 1994 and renewed her nursing career. She was a pediatric nurse at Pediatrics at DTC and a triage nurse at Denver Childrens Hospital. Throughout her life, Chris used her musical talents for the glory of God, including singing with the Rocky Mountain Praise Choir. Survivors include: children, Kristi James, Kerrie Schultz, Kathi, Kent and Kyle; four grand-children, Stephanie James, Haley and Harley Gilman and Krislyn Grace Schultz; a sister Lorey (M.
