Littleton

Christina Lidia Reitze, age sixty-seven, passed away suddenly at home on Friday November 20, 2020.

Chris was born on March 23, 1953, in Grand Junction, Colorado and lived in Hotchkiss and Littleton, CO. She graduated from Grand Junction Central High School in 1971, Mesa State Junior College in 1973, and Colorado State University in 1975. She was married to William P. Reitze on May 1, 1976 and worked for Software AG Americas until her retirement.

Chris loved the outdoors.  A month spent during summer break in high school at Outward Bound in the Colorado Rocky Mountains lead to a lifetime of camping, hiking, canoeing and visiting National Parks with her family. She loved watching wildlife, from bears and moose in Alaska, to the deer, elk, humming birds, mountain lions, foxes and turkeys at her home. She had endless enthusiasm and joy in learning new things and traveling the roads less traveled by ATV, Jeep, and camper throughout the Western United States.

Chris was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter.  She was adventurous, smart, funny, and showed love to everyone in her life. Her kind spirit and huge heart will live on in all who know her.

She is survived by her husband; William P. Reitze of Littleton, Colorado; two sons, William T. Reitze (Katrina) of Vernal, Utah and Eric C. Reitze (Mishka) of Denver, Colorado; her brother, Richard Bilbas (Berit) of Denver, Colorado; her sister, Janet Bilbas (Sheryl) of Richmond, California; her niece, Danielle Sawchuck (Alex) of Wood Stock, Georgia; and grandnephew, Jackson.

Chris is preceded in death by her parents Iwan and Adelheid Bilbas and sister Bella Aycock.

Chris was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

No services for Chris are planned at this time, but may be held at a later date.
