Christine M. Chasey

Christine Mikkelsen Chasey passed away with dignity with her family beside her on September 5, 2015 in Denver, Colorado. Celebrating her life are her loving husband of 47 years, Larry E. Chasey from Highlands Ranch, CO; her sons Michael L. Chasey (wife Linda) from Thurmont, MD and John C. Chasey (wife Kristin) from Parker, CO; her sisters Kathryn M. Stern (husband Mark) from Durango, CO and Karen Mikkelsen from La Quinta, CA; and her grandchildren Daniel, Nathan, Matthew, Breauna, and Amanda. Preceding her in death were her loving parents Margaret Kessel Mikkelsen and William Peter Mikkelsen, M.D. from Los Angeles, CA. Born July 10, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA where she lived until moving to Highlands Ranch, CO in 1993. Graduated from John Marshall High School in Los Angeles in 1964 and the University of Wyoming in American History Studies in 1968. A passionate historian, she was an Archivist of family collections, including her own family, and at the library of the University of Wyoming and the University of California at Los Angeles. For 20 years she captioned for the deaf with Captions Inc. Her greatest achievement is her family with her husband Larry, raising two outstanding men, Mike and John, to carry on her legacy.
