Christine DeLeon

Christine DeLeon age 93, died at Briarwood Health Care Center on Monday December 9, 2019.

Born December 15, 1925, in La Junta Colorado, she lived in La Junta, Brighton, and Denver. She worked and retired from Safeway Stores Inc.

Survivors include daughter Virginia Martinez (Pete), son Donald Vasquez (Christine), grandchildren, Donald Vasquez (Hope), Amanda Vasquez, Jessica Martinez-Milligan (Doug), Pete S. Martinez (Becky). Christine was preceded in death by her parents Regino and Anita DeLeon. Her brothers included Frank, Mike, John, Martin, Octavio, Eugene DeLeon. Her sisters included Paz Vasquez, Jovie Marruffo and Alice Marruffo. Great grandchildren include Devin Vasquez, Sophia Jones, Shea Martinez, M'aiana Martinez.

Memorial mass service will be held at 10:30 am (MST), Friday, December 20, 2019 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham St., Thornton Colorado. A gathering of relatives and friends for light lunch immediately after the services at the church location.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are welcome to the Alzheimer's Association in the name of Christine DeLeon.
