Christine Kennedy, 75, of Sedalia, Colorado, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023. Born on January 10th, 1948, in Fort Collins, CO, Chris was raised in a loving family as the oldest of five siblings. She grew up in the Denver area graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School. She then attended Colorado State University where she majored in Fashion Design.
After college, Chris decided to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry. She used her intellect and phenomenal writing skills to author numerous petroleum industry publications. Chris then leveraged her vast knowledge to gain a VP of Sales position with Oracle in their Oil and Gas division where she led a highly successful team during years of oil and gas expansion.
When Chris wasn’t working, she was outside experiencing nature, loving animals, riding her horse Rosie, climbing thirty-six Fourteener’s, saving frogs and snakes from traffic, traveling the world searching for the perfect place to scuba dive such as Palau/Truk Lagoon/Solomon Islands/Roatan/Belize, and more, all the while taking spectacular photography of her passions.
Chris met Bob MacKinnon in August 1994 at UGC Consulting. He was astonished to learn such a beautiful person was single. On August 10, 2007, soulmates Chris and Bob were married. They were together for almost twenty-eight years.
In May 2020, Chris was joyfully reunited with her birthson, Gavin, and grandson, Jaxson of Stuart, Florida. They spent time together and enjoyed being a family for three years.
Chris was an intelligent, strong, and beautiful individual. Her passionate nature and intense ability to love will be forever etched on our hearts.
