Christine Lagerborg passed away peacefully in her home in Denver on Christmas evening. She would have been 90 in January. Christine was born in Klosterneuburg, Austria. She was the daughter of Alois and Josefa Aue and had two sisters and one brother all of whom have preceded her in death except Adele Aue Houska, who still lives in Vienna. Christine met her husband, Dr. Vincent Lagerborg (1920 - 1992), in the Vienna Opera house during WWII. They wed in March 1945 in Vienna, moved to Colorado after the war, and were married for 47 years. She is survived by two sons, Alexander and David Lagerborg; five grandchildren (who called her ""Oma"" or simply ""The O"") Timothy, Daniel, Andrew, Michael, and Diane Lagerborg; and one great grandchild Adeline Lagerborg. Her nephew Dr. Karl Heinz Houska said, ""she was an extraordinary and lovable woman."" Services will be held at 11:00 AM on December 31st at Horan & McConaty Mortuary 1091 S.
