Christopher Lee Dasbach passed away on September 12, 2018.
Christopher Lee Dasbach died 9/12/18, just one week before his 63rd birthday, 9/19/55, He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Doll Dasbach. He is survived by two brothers, Vic and Noel and two sisters, Lily and Loretta. He is also survived by his 3 sons, Ryan, Jon and Jared, and two granddaughters, Kaya and Lani.
Chris graduated from Alameda High School in Lakewood, Colorado.
As a young boy, Chris was a lover of the outdoors. He also loved riding horses with the Western Aires, performing as an Indian Hoop Dancer, and even once as a dancer in the cast of The Nutcracker.
His first love was music, he learned to play the bass guitar in high school, and went on to enjoy a career in several bands, traveling all through Colorado playing country rock, and jazz fusion music. He was also quite an artist, and enjoyed making pottery.
Later on as an adult, Chris became a Master Scuba diver, a gourmet chef, a writer, an over the road truck driver, and enjoyed a brief job with J Lohr winery. Chris worked construction, installing garage doors and openers for Ankmar Door, for 30 years.
Chris was diagnosed with a frontotemporal dementia at the young age of 57. This neurologic disease hits younger people typically between the ages of 45 and 65. It hit him out of the blue and was a devastating loss for all who knew him.
He was an amazing father to his boys, and will be forever, greatly missed.
Memorial Services will be held on September 21, 2018, at 12:00 noon, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel at 5303 E. County Line Rd. Centennial, CO 80122.
