Christos G. Syrpes, 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, employer and friend fell asleep on Thursday, June 9, at his home in Foxfield with his family by his side. Chris was born in 1945 in Steno, Tripolis, Greece to Giorgios and Evangelia Syrpes. He came to the United States in 1968 and worked as an electrician before starting Chris Electric in Denver in 1976. Chris is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nota, his children Evangeline (Robert) Simones, George (Terri) Syrpes, Demetrios (Molly) Syrpes and Helen (John) Syrpes, five grandchildren, brother Themistocles (Stella) Syrpes, sister Vasiliki (Kosta) Nasious, brother in law Spiros (Maria) Patsiaris, sister in law Koula (Giorgios) Hristopoulos and numerous nieces and nephews. Chris was an inspiration to all that knew him. He leaves a legacy of hard work, dedication to his family, faith, perseverance and love. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. A Trisagion service will be held on Monday, June 13 at 7:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 14 at 10:00 AM. Both will be held at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4610 E. Alameda Avenue, Denver. Those who wish to make a donation may do so in Chris' memory to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
