Cindy Mastin-Corrales

June 16, 1956 — January 24, 2022

Denver, Colorado

Cindy Dollinda Mastin Corrales was a loving wife, mother, and friend; on Monday, January 24, 2022, she left our physical world after residing in Denver, Colorado for over 50 years! Cindy is survived by her husband, Robert, and daughter, Yoselin.

Cindy was born to Marie Maggard and Harold Mastin, on June 16, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky - but only due to proximity, as her family was actually living across the state border in Indiana at the time. After moving to Colorado in the 70s and graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, she went on to complete her BSN at University of Northern Colorado. Cindy also studied piano, and participated in Job’s Daughters after being exposed to her parents’ involvement with the Freemasons and the Eastern Star.

After graduation, Cindy served as a Registered Nurse working in chemical dependency and addiction units, until later settling down in roles with the Cherry Creek School District and Christian Living Communities. In 1991, Cindy and Robert welcomed their daughter, Yoselin home after finalizing her adoption from Honduras – and boy did Cindy enjoy motherhood! Cindy eventually transitioned to a full-time caregiver for her father, then her mother, and finally her husband, Robert, after he experienced his own health complications in 2019.

Though Cindy spent her last couple years on earth fighting for her own vitality, she will be remembered for her diligent and quiet strength, her consistently kind words and actions, and her desire for self-improvement and personal growth. Cindy volunteered her time and skills within the community, was a backbone of support to those she loved, and actively worked to advocate for underserved individuals. Despite the fact that her physical presence is no longer with us, her memory, love, and influence will live on.

A Remembrance Reception is scheduled for Friday, February 4th from 2-4pm at Horan & McConaty – Centennial, located at 5303 E County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122.
