Clarence Johansen

Clarence, 89, of Denver, Colorado passed November 4, 2015. He was born November 22, 1925, in Pocatello, Idaho to Jens and Marie (Larsen) Johansen. Clarence served in WWII in the U.S. Marines as a diesel and aircraft mechanic. He earned the rank of Staff Sergeant, and following his discharge, worked for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic for the City & County of Denver. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jerre Marie (Beyen) Johansen; and brothers, Knute, Jens and John Johansen. He is survived by his sons, Rodney P. (Sandra Bennett) Johansen of Lakewood and Jim (Iris St. Peter) Johansen of Littleton; grandchildren, Bonnie Bishoff of Westminster, Kristine Schamp of Parker, Jacqueline Johansen of Littleton and Rayce Calvaresi of Littleton; great grandchildren, Tyler Bishoff, Jessica Lynn Schamp, Jonathan Bradford Schamp, Elizabeth Ann Schamp, Rebecca Rose Schamp, Ashley Louise Johansen, Skyler Michael James Johansen, Rayce Joseph Calvaresi, II, Jordan David Calvaresi, Giovanni Calvaresi and Joslyn Calvaresi. Services honoring Clarence will be on Thursday, November 12, 2015, beginning at 10:15 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado. Please gather at Staging Area ""C"" by 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Clarence's name to: Wounded Warrior Project P.O.
