Clarence W. Loveless, 96, of Littleton Colorado passed away or one might say he officially retired on April 7, 2020 at his home under the care of hospice and some of his family members. Born in Lexington, Nebraska February 1, 1924 to Rufus and Hazel Loveless. He was the fifth of six children. He was a beloved husband, loving dad, grandfather, great and great-great grandfather.
Clarence married his high school sweetheart, Mary M. Campion in 1945, they had five children. They were to have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in June 2020. He was the ""guy who could fix anything ""
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Clarence was a ""jack of all trades"". From auto mechanic, to owner, operator, and partner of a meat packing plant in Alliance, Nebraska, to owner and operator of a marble plant in Denver Colorado, back to cutting meat at Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado, to construction and flipping real estate, as well as, owning and maintaining rental properties throughout the Denver metropolitan and foothills of Colorado. He loved to be busy, always working on some project. He loved to spend time with family, centered around meals. He loved teaching children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren the ""right way to do things."" He always had time for a game of checkers with his grandkids and then his great grandkids. Most of all he always had time for a cup of coffee.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Hazel Loveless, his brothers Charles Eugene and Rufus Loveless and by sister Dorthy (George) Stewart. He is survived by his sister Eilene (Bob) Brown, his loving wife Mary and their five children, Steven (Melody) Loveless, Sherry (Pat) Wiltsey, Sue (Bob) Prentice, Sandie (Rick) Jandrt, and Stanley Loveless. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great grandsons.
He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Due to the current situation in our country services will be held at a later time to be announced. Clarence was laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Memorial Mass Friday, August 7, 2020, 10:30 am, St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 6673 West Chatfield Ave., Littleton, CO 80128. Memorial Service 3:15 pm, Fort Logan National Cemetery. Donations to New Century Hospice.
