Clayton ""Jim"" James Daiss

Clayton ""Jim"" Daiss, 74, died peacefully the afternoon of June 27, 2013 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his spouse of 11 years, Patricia. Father to six children and their spouses: Elizabeth (Ron), Lynda (Brian), Doug (Jean), Debbie (Duane), Marie (Bob), & Cliff (Merlene). Grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Brother to his sister Connie, and Uncle to Alan and Brent. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Lucille, and his previous wives Kathy and Marie. What we will remember most, is his generosity and love of his family. He also had a gifted ability to grow beautiful roses. He cherished time spent with family at Christmas, and especially Christmas Eve dinner. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten, and we will cherish the memories we all share. A Visitation will be held, Sunday, June 30, 3:00PM-7:00PM. Funeral Service, Monday, July 1, 10:00AM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton. Entombment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the EGSMC (Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center) Foundation, Comprehensive Cancer Center – ""Healing Garden"".
