Our community sadly lost a pillar on Tuesday November 16, 2021 when Clifford Alton Brooks, Jr. favorably known as "Cliffy" left this earth. His contributions to the lives of many include his service of nearly 38 years to the Adams County Sheriff's Office. Cliffy was an adored friend, mentor, and colleague and dedicated his life to being of service to others.
Cliffy is survived by the loving community of Adams County, First Responders, Adams County Sheriff's Office and his wife of 42 years, Diana Brooks their two children; Jeremiah Brooks (Devin Teague), Danielle Becwar (Ryan Becwar), his four grandchildren; Kinsley Brooks, Logan Brooks, Allie Becwar, and Liam Becwar. Clifford is also survived by two sisters, Jeanne Santangelo-Jackson, and Diana Garcia and many nieces and nephews, and "adopted" children. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alida Brooks and Clifford Brooks Sr., mother-in-law Juanita (Jenny) Cedillo, and beloved cousin William Hollis (Spud) Kline.
His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with as well as those he reached but never met. We will celebrate his life well lived on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Crossroads Church located at 53 E. 128th Avenue, Thornton, CO.
Please note, due to the Adams County Mandate, masks will be required. Thank you.
Because Cliffy had a heart of gold, in lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Children's Hospital, toy drives for children this holiday season or simply lend a hand to someone in need in his memory. Show up when someone else may not...
