Skip was a loving husband, father and grandfather and always put others above himself. Prior to meeting Pat that he married in August 1973 he served our country as a member of the United States Navy during Vietnam. He enjoyed being a master carpenter and built homes in Colorado and Utah as well as a houseboat that is still on Lake Powell to current day. He also made vases, bowls, tables as well as other small items for members of the family and close friends over the course of the last few years. Skip's other passions in life were antique/classic cars and trucks, tractors and driving a dump truck for the past 12 years. He shared this with his family that he taught how to repair and build many cars and motorcycles as well as being a motocross racer that he passed on to his two sons who still ride today. Skip was well known for many different traits and having the knowledge of the ""know how"". He had the kindest heart that anyone could have ever imagined and would always teach anyone what he knew that would listen. His strong personality reached the lives of many families and he built a legacy that will live on in all that knew him.
The committal service will be held at Ft Logan at a later date to be announced by Horan & McConaty when it is able to be scheduled.
