Clyde Gast

Clyde W. Gast was born on December 27, 1929 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Lloyd Gast and Lois Spencer Gast. He passed away on July 19, 2021 in Denver, Colorado. Clyde is preceded in death by both of his parents, brother; Charles Gast, and grandson; Joel Gast. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy J. Gast; sister, Kay Hinderer; son, Clyde "Butch" Gast, II and his wife AnnaMaria Gast; daughter, Cheryl Vacenovsky and her husband Karl Vacenovsky; grandchildren, Molly (John) Payne, Brandon (Maureen Shiel) Miller, Cory Miller and great-grandchildren, Bronson, Alma, Simon and Estelle.

Clyde grew up and lived on a farm in his hometown in Indiana and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University as well as his Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Clyde also proudly served his country and received the title of Airman First Class from his 4 years in the United States Air Force. Both Clyde and Dorothy were members of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado as well as Clyde being affiliated with the Metro Seniors Golf Club.

A Funeral Mass with military honors will be held for Clyde on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11:00AM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80227.

In memory of Clyde and his love for golf, attendees are asked to please wear golf attire to the Funeral Mass.
