Cody D. Crosby

Cody was born December 21, 1979 in Center Texas, to proud parents Steven and Janice Crosby, and sister Diane. Cody's family moved quite frequently so, he was well traveled by the time he entered the 5th grade at Bear Creek Elementary in 1990. He then attended Carmody Junior high and then onto Bear Creek High School. In 1995 he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Bear Creek in 1998, and enlisted in the United States Army five days later. He took his Basic training in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was then transferred to Fort Bragg, North Carolina to pursue his dream to become a US paratrooper. He was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Unit, as a forward artillery observer. He was deployed to Kosovo in 1999 almost a year. He separated from active duty in 2001, and remained on inactive duty. He was employed at Jiffy Lube on South Crestline in Littleton intermittently from 1996 to present. His current position was Manger at the Jiffy Lube. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing guitar and especially his banjo. Cody was a kind spirited, funny and giving person. He knew no stranger and was always there to greet you with his contagious smile. He was a loving uncle, friend, older brother to his nephew Jackson. He will be not only missed by his family but everyone that came into contact with him. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 30th at 6:00pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood.
