Connie J. Brink

Connie Jean Brink, 60, returned to her heavenly home on June 20, 2015 after a valiant battle with illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Connie was born to parents Marvin and Dorothy Jean Johnson on February 6, 1955 in Denver, CO. She grew up as the youngest of three and attended Jefferson High School. In 1977, she met the love of her life, John Kirk Brink and the two were married in 1981 at Rockland Community Church in Genesee, CO. Connie and Kirk had two children, Kyle Scott and Alyssa Nicole. Connie was a stay at home mom from the time her children were young. She was involved in every school activity and sport Kyle and Alyssa participated in. Connie is survived by her husband, Kirk; son, Kyle; daughter, Alyssa; daughter-in-law, Brooke; future son-in-law, Brandon; her brothers, Keith and Kent Johnson; and thirty nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Dorothy Jean; her mother-in-law, Elaine Lacey; her father-in-law, Ralph Lacey and her brother-in-law, James Brink. A gathering of family and friends will be take place at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home on South Wadsworth Boulevard on June 24 at 10 a.m. The memorial service will take place immediately after at 11 a.m. Family and friends will have the opportunity to share stories and say a few words if they wish. The family is overwhelmed and extremely grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
