Connie Jones

March 24, 1940 — March 10, 2021

On Wednesday March 10, 2021, Connie Jean Jones passed away at the age of 80 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Westminster.  Sunrise was an appropriate place for Connie as she tried to bring a little sunshine into her friend’s and family’s daily lives. Connie was born to Jack and Kathryn Walters in Cripple Creek, Colorado on March 24, 1940 and soon after they moved to Casper, Wyoming.  There, she met James Jones and they married in June of 1958. In 1960 Connie and Jim moved to Denver, Colorado. She had two children, Deborah Emadian and Jack Jones.  She loved her church activities such as singing in the choir and bible study, caring for her family members, poetry (she was a master at limericks), book club and having lunch with her friends at Wishbone, Chik-Fil-A and Wendy’s! She is preceded in death by her husband Jim and son Jack.  Her remaining family includes her daughter, Debbie (Seyed), three grandchildren-Emily (Boone) Guthe, Diana (Jarrett) Summers and Elliot, her great granddaughter, her sister-Jackie Palmer, two nieces and one nephew and her beloved friends.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Westminster Christian Church.  Join us for a celebration of life on what would’ve been her 81st birthday (March 24, 2021) at that same church-Westminster Christian Church at 3:00 p.m. 3575 W. 96th Ave. Westminster, CO 80031.
