Connie Jean Morgan

Connie Jean Morgan, or “CJ” as her beloved husband would call her, lost her battle with Alzheimer’s on Tuesday, May 9th. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Agnes Jean Engman, her Father, Glenn Arvid Engman Sr, her Brothers Glenn Arvid Jr. and Steven Trudell Engman. She is survived by her Husband Glen Michael Morgan, her sister Kristine Anderson (North Carolina), her two daughters, Michelle Morgan Lewis (Orlando, Florida) and Kristin Ann Morgan (Castle Rock, Colorado), 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Connie was born in Marquette, Michigan, lived in many states and had resided in Highlands Ranch, Colorado since 1995 with her husband Glen.

Connie and Glen were married September 23, 1967, in Marquette, Michigan, 3 months after their first date and celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last year in San Diego, California at the Ponte Winery. People who know them know their love is one for the ages. They were completely devoted to each other.

Connie worked for Service Merchandise in Chicago, Baxter Pharmaceuticals and Charles Schwab. In Orlando, she continued on with Charles Schwab and when they moved to Colorado she needed to retire as she required jaw surgery as a result of a bike accident when she was a child.

After this, she began her career in childcare where she found her passion for children, rocking babies and singing lullabies. Connie worked in the infant room for 6 years loving every minute of it. After retiring from there, Connie snuggled on her youngest granddaughter Ekko, for her first year of life when her daughter Kristin went back to work.

A Celebration of life for immediate family and close friends will be held at Rock Bottom Brewery in Highlands Ranch on May 23rd at 6 P.M.
