Constance "Connie" St. Germain Nelson

In Loving Memory of Constance (Connie) Marie St. Germain Nelsen

Constance (Connie) Marie St. Germain Nelsen, age 73, passed away from heart failure on November 10, 2020. Connie was survived by her husband, Brian Nelsen, daughter, Jessica Nelsen, and her cherished grandson, Jayce Rainey.

Born on August 3, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, Connie was the daughter of William St. Germain and Marie Teiken St. Germain. She was the middle sister among Louanne Bisset and Patricia St. Germain. Connie graduated from Littleton High School in 1965 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree at Metro State University in Denver, Colorado, followed by a master’s degree in health care management at Regis University.

Connie began her career as a nurse before transitioning into health care management. She concluded her medical career as a professor at Arapahoe Community College, where she inspired many students with her knowledge and passion for the field.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Connie was a dedicated entrepreneur. Before and after retirement, she explored various creative business ventures, including machine knitting, her successful long-arm quilting business, “Top Quilters,” and the retail of her sought-after “pick r nots” tool.

Connie’s creative spirit was evident in her many hobbies. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed quilting, pottery, photography, spinning wool, modeling clay, and creating beautiful wire art jewelry. Fearless and resourceful, she tackled any challenge that came her way—from home repair projects to planting her beautiful gardens and exploring the open road in her RV.

Her boundless energy and contagious love for life left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Connie's spirit will continue to inspire those she touched, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She was followed in death by her beloved husband, Brian Nelsen, who passed on June 21, 2022.

To honor her memory, take up/revive a craft, hobby or sport (or revive an old one), join a club, reach out to a neighbor or friend, take a class, rescue a corgi, try something new, love deeply and live fully.

Connie and Brian were honored with a military interment and laid to rest at Fort Logan Cemetery on Monday, September 18, 2023. Their headstone can be located at coordinates 69 45.

Please share memories and condolences with Connie's family by signing the guestbook.
