Mom, Wife, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Connie Ford passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on December 12, 2020. Connie was born in New York, New York in 1924 and lived on both coasts and Oklahoma before settling down in Colorado with her husband Leon and four children. She was a devoted wife and mother, as well as a school secretary at Rosedale Elementary in Denver before retiring in the late 1980s. Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years, H. Leon Ford and her eldest son, Ronald D. Ford. She is survived by her three remaining children, daughter M. Suzanne Loughran and sons Thomas L. Ford and William B. Ford (Alice Ford). She is also survived by four grandchildren: Shannon Giddings, Sean Giddings (Melanie Neys), Meik Loughran and Will Loughran, as well as two great-grandsons: Jordan McEachern (Taylor McEachern) and Ryan McEachern (Patricia McGinnis). She also leaves behind her beloved cat Sam. An active member of Notre Dame Parish in Denver for nearly sixty years, Connie served as an editor of the church newsletter. Connie enjoyed listening to music, gardening, and baking, as well as exercising and socializing with her friends at Carmody Rec Center. She had a passion for the ballet, musical performances, and art. She was also committed to the protection and conservation of endangered wolves.
Connie was lovingly devoted to her family and friends. If you met Connie once, she was a friend for life.
A private funeral service and burial, being attended only by family members, will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 starting at 10:30am, Notre Dame Catholic Church followed by burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
