Born in San Luis (the oldest town in Colorado), Cordie graduated from high school and moved to Denver. She was in a beauty contest at the JACL where she met her future husband Will Kagohara from Greeley. They married in 1953. She worked for most of her career at Denver Public Schools as a baker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Cordie survived siblings Francesca Joelson, Mary Serna, Henry Sato, Leroy Sato, Betty Wussow; Kenji Sato survives her. Cordie was married to Will 65 years, surviving him. She is survived by daughter Wendy Weil (Steve), grandson Colter, nephews & nieces.
The family wishes to thank Cordie's caregivers of whom Laura Bryan and Susan Hoffman were with her since 2018; Alicia Hedrick, Jackie Mann and Vicki Schneider.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 11am at the South Denver Horan & McConaty Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80246.
