Corinne Elizabeth Nylander, 73 of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully August 1, 2018 in her home.
Corinne was born to Albert E. and Margaret ""Nellie"" Seep October 7, 1944 in Denver, CO.
Corinne is preceded in death by husband Fred P. Nylander Jr.
Corinne will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Tracy (Chris), Kelly (Eddie), Shannon (Melissa), Erin (Mark), and Megan (Andrew) and grandchildren Samantha, Hunter, Stone, Savanah, Chase, Gage, Austin, Peyton & Perri.
Corinne grew up in Denver in the historic Crestmoor neighborhood, where she attended George Washington High School and later studied English at Loretto Heights college.
She worked as a customer service rep with Acosta until getting hired by Impact Sales as a food broker until her retirement.
Corinne loved music and was very musically talented; playing the piano, which she taught herself to play by ear, playing guitar, & singing with the Patchwork singers for many years.
She was a parishioner of the Church of the Risen Christ, since 1968 and was involved in many church activities.
She was always very active in the community, serving on the PTA of her daughters elementary school (14 years), volunteering her time with all of her children's numerous activities; sewing costumes for school plays, creating decorations and flyers for school functions. Later when her children were grown, she never missed any of her grandkids sports or school activities.
Despite suffering the effects of Myositis for more than 20 years, Corinne remained active in her community; volunteering her time at Holly Ridge to help kids read, she was also involved in the Myositis Group, Silver Sneakers & pool therapy at the YMCA.
Her hobbies included working on puzzles of any kind, attending concerts in the park, playing bridge with friends, and being an amazing person.
In honor of Corinne, a Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Thursday 8/30/2018 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home 11150 East Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014, reception to follow at HeartLight Reception Hall. Graveside service 2:00pm, Thursday 8/30/2018 at Fort Logan National Cemetery Staging Area ""A"".
