Corrine Ann Rhodes, age 87, passed away in Gardens on Quail on March 24th, 2024. She was born in Denver, and raised in Barnum where she met and married her husband of 42 years, Robert Rhodes. She retired after a lengthy career in information technology with the federal government.
Corrine was a talented seamstress and used her sewing talents to pursue quilt making where one of her pieces was proudly displayed at a quilt show in the capitol building. She volunteered her skills to Pillow Hugs, by sewing and donating pillowcases, pillows, blankets, and burp cloths to children in shelters, as well as to Breast Cancer Survivors, by sewing and donating make-up bags to women who were undergoing chemotherapy.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Rhodes, grandson Matthew Dobson, granddaughter Marissa Dobson, great-grandson Hendrix Valadez, great-granddaughter Gisela Valadez, and daughter-in-law Becky Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her brothers Keith and Marvin Armstrong, husband Robert Rhodes, and son Patrick Rhodes.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 3rd at Horan & McConaty in Lakewood at 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd. Visitation will be 11:00 am – 12:30 pm, the funeral service from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm, and the shelter service at Ft. Logan at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation for Alzheimer’s and dementia research at https://www.alz.org/
