After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Craig passed away on May 22, 2009. He is survived by his wife Bette; sons Scott and Andrew; mother Freda; siblings Bob, Carla, Shelley, Bruce and George; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Duncan. Craig was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 5, 1947. He attended elementary and high school in Winnipeg and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Laws degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario and later a Masters of Public Affairs from the University of Manitoba. Craig had a long and successful career in the legal department at Great-West Life where he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in both Winnipeg and Denver. Craig was an avid sports fan and was proud of the fact that he was an original season ticket holder for the Winnipeg Jets, the Colorado Avalanche and the Colorado Rockies. His greatest joys were both coaching hockey, which he did for many years, touching many young people's lives and watching his boys, Scott and Andrew, play sports. He loved the outdoors particularly hiking in the mountains, snowshoeing and boating. Craig was an ardent reader. His interest and knowledge covered a broad range of topics. He was always able to quote or recall relevant information about any given subject be it politics or social issues. It was a great day for him when he became a U.S. Citizen and was then able to cast his vote. Craig will be truly missed. A service will be held in The Chapel at Saint John's Cathedral, 1350 Washington Street, in Denver on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. Reception to follow. Donations to The Lennox Family Foundation, 7627 South Grape Way, in Centennial, Colorado 80122 will be appreciated.
